Wyatt's surgery

Everything went really well this morning. He went in about 8:15 and we changed his clothes and answered all the questions, then off he went to get the mask of laughing gas. JR and I waited in the waiting room for a short 20 minutes. When we went back to see him, he was crying and saying he wanted his mommy to hold him. You know me....that tore me up! We got to recovery and he ate 3 popsicles and 2 glasses of apple juice. The only thing he complained about was that he wanted the IV out. After about an hour, the IV was taken out, we put his clothes on him, and we were out the door. The doctor said there was quite a bit of fluid in his ears, which they suctioned out 90% of it today. Within 24 hours, the rest of the fluid should be drained. He also said his adenoids were very large, so it was a good thing they were removed.
So far, he still hasn't taken a nap, but he says he is tired. He says his throat hurts a little, but nothing extreme. We are so fortunate that everything is going great!! This little trooper tried to smile for the camera during recovery!

We are sooooo happy that everything went well today. Wyatt was in good hands with Dr. Mitchell. I am positive you will (and Wyatt for sure) see results immediately. We thought about you all day. Cole is so proud of you Wyatt!!!! And your mommy and daddy made it through it too!
