Nursing Home

I could not be more proud of these two this week.  Wyatt's 4-H Club made Christmas cards for the nursing homes.  By the time the club split up the cards, we didn't have very many to hand out.  So, we made a bunch more at home.  As we entered the nursing home, the kids were a little nervous, so I handed out the first two cards.  After that, Wyatt took over and talked to every person in every room we went in.  Ellie tried but she just wasn't quite loud enough for anyone to hear.  We had some great conversations with the elderly.  My heart melted just watching my children interact with the elders.  As we were getting into the car, Ellie says she wants to make enough cards for all 90 residents next year.  Wyatt said he wanted to have his class at school make cards and come back.  What an awesome experience they were a part of.  I am so proud of them!!
This is Wyatt talking to a man who the kids said looked just like Grandpa John with his white beard.
