We decided to surprise dad for his 60th birthday. I secretly sent out invitations while mom got all the supplies ready. On Saturday morning, JR and I drove down with the kids. JR and dad went to Matthew and Rachel's to help run water to their house. While the guys worked all day on the water, mom, Rachel, and me made about 6 gallons of homemade ice cream, strawberry, vanilla, and blackberry. We had everything cleaned up before the guys came back home, so dad still had no idea. It was not until the second car pulled in the driveway when dad realized something was going on. By the end we had about 25 people in the yard, celebrating his birthday. Boy was he surprised! I can't believe we pulled it off!!
