Trip to Hawaii

Wyatt's class has been studying about Hawaii. Who wouldn't want to be in Hawaii right now instead of all this crazy winter weather. So, his class took a trip to Hawaii! He packed his overnight bag with a toothbrush & toothpaste, comb, flip flops, sunglasses, goggles, beach towel, sand toys and sunscreen. He wore his swim trunks under some flannel pants because it was pretty cold here. They boarded the plane at 8:30am and watched a ScoobyDoo movie while they were in flight. They were served cookies and juice on the plane. After a long flight, they arrived at the Honolulu airport. They were greeted and given a lei to wear. They claimed their luggage, wrote a postcard and headed for the beach. They learned how to hula dance and heard some music from Hawaii. They played beach volleyball and collected shells on the beach. When I got him off the bus, he was exhausted from his "trip" to Hawaii. I was a little jealous....he smelled like sunscreen and he even had a sunburn!

Love this idea! I will have to share this with Cole's preschool teachers!
