A few weeks ago, MaMa Karen and Wyatt went caterpillar hunting in the field . They brought home a milkweed with a big caterpillar hanging on tight. We watched step by step the caterpillar eating, making it's chrysalis, and turning into a beautiful butterfly. Wyatt was so excited to see this transformation. We let the butterfly go in the front yard and watched it fly away into the field. Now every time Wyatt sees a butterfly, he says he thinks it's "his". Next time you see Wyatt ask him about the caterpillar and the butterfly, he can tell you all about it!
